We went here several times while downtown. The drinks are excellent, service was good. We didn't eat here, just had drinks. While not quiet, it wasn't too loud in the afternoon we couldn't hold conversation decently easy. Great spot to stop in for a drink or add to a pub crawl.

The first bar I’ve ever been to in San Diego and I know it’s going to be a favourite. Apparently the longest-standing bar in Downtown; the building dates from 1874 and is spread over three distinctly different floors. Only went to the main bar on this occasion, a Saturday afternoon. Great selection of craft beers, awesome bar tender, and excellent live music from Shaun. Really great place.

Fun spot for a drink. It has a historic feel to it while still having a good vibe. Decent selection of both mixed drinks and beers.

Take the stairs up to the 2nd floor and you won't be sorry. Classy, wood-paneled bar with cheeky photos from movies like The Big Lebowsky and Anchorman. Throw in an awesome DJ who knows her music and has an expansive library of hits, including 80's and 90's for the GenXers, and you won't want to leave. Best impromptu party I've been to in ages!

Stopped for drinks but got great service with awesome music. Well priced drinks and atmosphere reminded us of Nashville type bars. Great stop while in San Diego.

Amazing bar with great drinks. Really good cocktails as well. Many of the bartenders work at multiple bars, so ask around for other good spots. I had a Walk on the Beach and a Purple Lamborghini. Both were very delicious. Cool atmosphere too.

The Tipsy Crow always stands out — this place is built different. Nick Barns, the manager, sets the tone from the door. He’s a solid leader, longtime friend, and has that MMA background (Bellator status!) that shows up in how he runs the spot — with precision, respect, and presence. Gina the bartender was on point from start to finish. Great energy, fast service, and she makes you feel like a VIP with every pour. Live music by BJ Jezebera sealed the whole vibe — raw talent, smooth flow, and the kind of sound that brings the place to life. This isn’t just a bar — it’s part of the San Diego fabric. Whether you’re a regular or just passing through, The Tipsy Crow hits all the marks. Also would like to mention Charles the security guard . Very professional and on point.
